The ladli yojana haryana is a monthly allowance, officially the Ladli Social Security Allowance, paid to parents in Haryana who have only daughters and no son, starting when either parent turns 45. Ours is an independent explainer site, and any application or status question for this allowance goes only to Haryana's Social Justice department and its official pages, not to us.

Many people call it the Haryana ladli pension yojana, and some type ladli behna yojana haryana while thinking of MP's women's scheme. These are different schemes in different states. This page sets out who gets the Haryana allowance, how much, for how long, and how it compares with the MP schemes we cover.

What the ladli yojana haryana is

Haryana's Ladli Social Security Allowance is a support payment for families who have only daughters. The state pays these parents a fixed sum every month for a set period in middle age. It is run by the Haryana Social Justice department.

The scheme started on 1 Jan 2006 at Rs 300 a month. Over the years the rate has been raised many times. The department's page lists the current rate as Rs 3,200 a month from 1 Nov 2025.

Who is eligible for the Haryana Ladli allowance

As per the Haryana Social Justice department, the main conditions are:

  • The family has only daughters. There must be no son, whether biological or adopted.
  • The parents are domiciles of Haryana.
  • Gross family income does not exceed Rs 2,00,000 a year.
  • Either the mother or the father has reached age 45.

The allowance is paid to the mother. If the mother has died, it is paid to the father. Note that the scheme is for the parents, not for the daughters themselves. The daughters do not receive this money in their own names.

The 15-year rule explained

The allowance starts from the time either parent turns 45, and it is paid for 15 years. In practice that takes the parent to around age 60.

Here is a simple way to think about it. If the father turns 45 first, the clock starts from his birthday even if the mother is younger. The payment then continues for the next 15 years, as long as the family still meets the conditions. If you are unsure which parent's age counts or what happens at the end of the 15 years, ask the department office, because the official page does not spell out every case.

How to apply or check in Haryana

Applications and payment questions are handled by the Haryana Social Justice department. We have not verified the exact application steps, forms or menu labels, so we will not list them here. Instead:

  1. Open the department's official page for the Ladli Social Security Allowance.
  2. Read the current rules and the list of documents it asks for.
  3. Follow the steps shown there, or visit the department's district office for help.
  4. Keep proof of Haryana domicile, family income and the parents' ages ready, since the conditions depend on them.

Do not pay any agent to get the allowance started, and never share an OTP or bank PIN with a caller. Government departments do not ask for these over the phone.

Haryana Ladli vs the MP Ladli schemes

The word "Ladli" appears in many state schemes, but each one is built differently:
